VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Your American Red Cross needs you! There are many exciting volunteer opportunities with the Illinois Capital Area Chapter.
As a volunteer you could do any the following:
- Respond to local and national disasters.
- Teach First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard and Disaster Training courses.
- Staff Blood Pressure Clinics, First Aid stations and Health Fair Booths.
- Educate community members in Disaster Preparedness & Safety
- Work to help members of the armed forces and their families
- Deliver meals to community members through our Meals On Wheels program
- Participate in special/fundraising events.
- Volunteer in Public Affairs and communicate the Red Cross message..
If you would like to volunteer, click on the links below to fill out the volunteer application and other materials and email them to amarin@il-redcross.org to inquire about the next Volunteer Orientation.
You may also mail completed applications to 1045 Outer Park Drive, Springfield, IL 62704.
Volunteer Application Materials
All new, potential volunteers MUST also complete a short background check that can be completed by clicking here, choosing the "request a background check" option, and following the instructions.
All volunteer orientations occur on the second Thursday of each month. Please call
