Godfather's Pizza is Launching a Major Effort to Help the American Red Cross Provide for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina
Springfield, IL (September 7, 2005) : For one week (Monday, September 5-Sunday, September 11), Godfather’s Pizza will donate $5.00 from the purchase of every medium and large, regular priced pizza or $1.00 from any purchase made with a coupon. All money raised will go to the American Red Cross to provide food, clothes, shelter and other needed items to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Mike Monseur and John Leskovisek, owners of Godfather’s Pizza, said, “We have been glued to the television since the hurricane hit. We’ve been seeing the devastation, hearing about the personal loss, and witnessing the ongoing agony, and it’s too much. We just cannot sit back and watch anymore; we have to help. We want the victims to know that the business community and the citizens of Central Illinois have them in our thoughts and prayers, and that we want to help.”
