The Red Cross is a symbol of hope throughout the world. As part of this humanitarian organization, the American Red Cross, Illinois Capital Area Chapter provides relief to victims of local disasters, as well as community, national and international disasters.

Your contributions help the Chapter to provide food, clothing, shelter and counseling for victims of more than 100 local disaster incidents each year. Disaster responders work around the clock every day of the week helping those victims in their hours of greatest need.

The Illinois Capital Area Chapter also offers opportunities for members of the community to learn First Aid, CPR and other health and safety skills that will keep them safe in times of emergencies. It provides emergency communications for military families trying to reach their loved ones and offers assistance to those trying to locate family members at the time of international disasters.

We feel good knowing that we will make a difference in the lives of our clients; however, it is the community who makes what the Red Cross does possible. By supporting the Illinois Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, people can give those in need the greatest gift of all…hope.
